The diverse student body at Miami International University of Art & Design ranges in age from 17 to 70, hails from 60 different countries, 50 American states, six U.S. territories, and represents a tremendous blend of nationalities, religious affiliations, and cultural identities in the world today.

Miami International University of Art & Design provides an important source of art and design education and prepares graduates to seek design, media arts, fashion, and culinary careers.

Established in 1965 and located in the heart of Miami?s emerging Arts & Entertainment District, our students have the opportunity to work for major corporations, hear speakers of international acclaim, volunteer for civic organizations and enjoy all the amenities a large city has to offer ? major league sporting events, concerts, theater, world-renowned restaurants, and a cosmopolitan social scene. Although the University currently has an enrollment of more than 1,100 students, there is still a strong sense of community and abundant opportunities to build friendships that last a lifetime. Students often make an effort to spend time with one another, support their friends and colleagues, both personally and professionally.
